Poimenniy Bridge
Project description
The Poimenniy Bridge in the city of Rostov-on-Don is a new, safe and very important piece of infrastructure for the region, which doubles the capacity of the old bridge to 120,000 cars per day.
The bridge, that measures 770 m in length, has 8 lanes and consists of 2 parallel precast RC bridges with 8 continuous pre-stressed I-beam spans.

In order to meet the tight production and delivery deadlines, the manufacturing took place in multiple mageba factories at the same time. All 6 TENSA-GRIP RS-A80 joints were produced by mageba Russia along with two of the 14 TENSA-MODULAR LR2 joints, while the production of the remaining modular joints were split between the production facilities of mageba India and mageba China.
After production, all joints have passed a final quality inspection.
As part of the project support, experts from mageba Switzerland and Russia also provided installation supervision and training for the customer‘s personnel on site, where the preparation and welding of 6 TENSA-MODULAR LR2 joints were carried out in only three days.
