Ágora Mall
Project description
Ágora Mall is a shopping center with 120‘000 square meters of construction and 180 shops. The shopping area has four levels, while the parking tower has eight levels. The structure was designed by the American company Pavlik Design.
Ágora is certified as a „Green Building“ in accordance with the US-sponsored LEED (Leadership in Energy and Environmental Design) sustainability program.
Delivered products
LASTO-FLONBLOCK Type Ga bearings were selected to satisfy the building’s particular requirements. These reinforced elastomeric bearings feature a PTFE sliding surface vulcanized onto one side, and a separate sliding plate with a stainless steel surface, to facilitate sliding movements. This type of bearing is ideal for absorbing high vertical loads while facilitating torsion and horizontal displacements in the longitudinal and transverse directions, with the minimum possible friction.
