Jurong Region Line
Project description
The Jurong Region Line (JRL) in Singapore, with a length of 24 km, is an overground MRT line which will serve the western part of Singapore.
It will significantly improve connectivity of the region and support the development of the Jurong area, which is going to be the largest commercial hub outside the Central Business District.
Once opened in 2027, the line will feature 24 stations, including three interchange stations at Boon Lay, Choa Chu Kang and Jurong East.
mageba scope
mageba was selected to supply and install its high performance RESTON-SPHERICAL bearings – 173 of them in total for Package J102.
Due to the limited space, the design of the bearings required special attention to details such as edge distance, plate lug length, the size of the adapter plate and dowel length to ensure the proper positioning of the products on the viaduct structures.
To make sure that all bearings are in line with the strict requirements, before their installation, they underwent a thorough testing in an independent accredited lab in Hebei, China.
