Project Manager “USA” – Bridges / Infrastructure

mageba has supplied bearings, expansion joints, and seismic products to landmark structures across the country. The Tappan Zee Bridge (NY), Verrazano Narrows Bridge (NY), Harbor Bridge (TX), SR520 Floating bridge (WA), Apple Campus 2 (CA), are just a few examples.

We are currently seeking an experienced and highly motivated “Project Manager” for a new key position in our team, supporting our operations from our office in New York or California, USA.

Responsibilities

As Project Manager, you will be assigned the following tasks and objectives:

  • Manage projects from the proposal stage to procurement and fabrication, through installation

  • Provide technical input on all project aspects, and preparation of construction documents

  • Review technical drawings of bridge bearings, expansion joints, and seismic protection

  • Review project contract and specification documents

  • Create and issue Project Submittals, RFI’s, and Change Orders

  • Provide technical support to production, purchasing, and sales departments

  • Make telephone calls and presentations to customers and potential customers

  • Ensure that projects meet all contract and regulatory requirements

  • Coordinate purchasing, production, and invoicing with other team members

  • Travel as needed to ensure proper fabrication and installation

  • Perform effectively under pressure and meet deadlines. Maintain a positive attitude

Qualifications

For this diversified, challenging, and exciting job opening, we are looking for an engineer (m/ f) who brings along the following qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering is required, Master’s Degree preferred

  • Minimum 5 years of full-time work experience in project management

  • Strong understanding and working knowledge of structural engineering preferred

  • Previous experience in contract management expected
