Werkhof ASTRA

Project description

Autobahnwerkhof Bern plays an important role in maintaining the national roads of A1, A6 and A12.

The buildings were constructed in the 1960s and 1970s and were in great need of renovation. ASTRA has therefore decided to construct a new building.

One of the new workshops is equipped with a crane from Brun Marti Dytan AG. The noise emissions from crane operations have to be reduced due to new acoustic standards and regulations, otherwise, working in the adjacent offices would not be permitted.

mageba scope

To address such challenges mageba has developed the acoustic isolator system VIBRAX®CRANE.

This solution is a combination of several sound-absorbing elastomeric bearings, which are dimensioned on the basis of expected loads as well as noise and vibration damping characteristics.

A particular challenge is the exact preload of the spring elements, which have to match both the loaded and unloaded conditions.
