  • Very robust and durable

  • Simple design, low-maintenance

  • Straighforward installation

Principle

mageba TENSA-FINGER RSFD cantilever finger joints are bridge expansion joints for movements of up to 500 mm. Their robust steel edge profiles have strong anchor loops for concreting to the main structure, resulting in excellent fatigue resistance. These profiles support finger plates at each side of the bridge gap, the fingers which cantilever out over the gap. The orientation of the fingers, in the direction of vehicle travel, minimises noise emissions and maximises driver comfort. A drainage channel, hanging beneath the joint, discharges to the bridge’s drainage system. The TENSA-FINGER RSFD joint can be used in both asphalt and concrete carriageways.

Applications

TENSA-FINGER RSFD cantilever finger joints are suitable for use in bridges with heavy traffic loading, and can readily meet the challenges of snowploughs and vehicles with exceptionally heavy loads. They satisfy the highest demands in relation to traffic loading, driver comfort and durability.
