D1 Hričovské Podhradie – Lietavská Lúčka
Project description
Slovakia is advancing several investments in its infrastructure by launching vital construction projects for the country‘s enhanced accessibility.
One huge project comprises the new D1 motorway between Hricovské Podhradie–Lietavská Lúcka in the north of the country. This motorway is part of the international transport route E-50, that starts from Paris, leads to Nuermberg, Prague and the Ukraine, and finally reaches Russia.
The section Hričovské Podhradie–Lietavská Lúčka will have a length of approximately 11 km and comprises 11 bridges, two tunnels and several access ramps. Completion of the project is scheduled for 2018.
mageba scope
For this project mageba reached an agreement with the project‘s contractor PORR to supply 76 units of RESTON-POT bearings.
This type of bearing ensures the controlled transfer of forces between the decks of the bridges and the bridge pillars. It also facilitates rotations about every axis and movements in every direction.
Thanks to an elastomeric pad which is enclosed in the bearing, they transfer vertical forces to the pillars and permit rotations at the same time.
Production of the bearings have been made in the local and certified production facilities in Hnúšťa.
