The Third Mandovi Bridge (also known as Atal Bridge), is an extradosed bridge in Goa State that connects the city of Panaji with Pundalik Nagar and Merces junctions, and carries the National Highway 66 over the tidal part of the Mandovi River.
The 660-m-long, four-lane bridge has forty cables anchoring the structure to the four pylons that are grounded into the riverbed.
The bridge was inaugurated on 27 January 2019.
In order to accommodate bridge movements and to provide a flush transition for traffic, mageba supplied 78 m TENSA-MODULAR joint of type LR2 and 42 m of type LR3, capable of accommodating 240 mm and 320 mm of movements respectively.
In addition to the modular joints, 453 m of TENSA-GRIP A80 single gap joint was also installed, which is able to accommodate a maximum of 80 mm longitudinal movement.
