Structural bearings

Characteristics

  • Typical loads: 100 kN to 20,000 kN

  • Reinforced high-strength deformation bearing

  • For vertical loads, horizontal displacements and rotations

Principle

mageba LASTO-BLOCK B deformation bearings act as elastic connections between structural elements. They transmit vertical and horizontal forces, without constraints, from the superstructure to the substructure, and permit movements in all directions and rotations about every axis. The bearings can be delivered with various steel connection plates, vulcanised into their upper and lower surfaces, to anchor them and prevent displacement. They can also be equipped with special low-friction sliding surfaces.

Applications

LASTO-BLOCK B deformation bearings are suitable for use in structures which require the transfer of low to medium loads. Equipped with a sliding surface they can be particularly useful in providing temporary support during the moving of large loads and for the bridge deck incremental launch method.
