D1 Jánovce-Jablonov Stage I
Project description
The infrastructure construction project D1 Jánovce –Jablonov has been scheduled into two parts: Stage I with a project kick-off in 2011 and Stage II with the kick-off in 2012. Stage I consists of the construction of a new 18.5 km section of the D1 motorway between Jánovce and Jablonov.
It lies on the so-called TEN-T Core Network Corridor that has the aim to remove bottlenecks, build missing cross-border connections and promote modal integration and interoperability.
The main benefit of this motorway section is the complete traffic bypass for the city Levoča. The first subsection opened on 20th October 2015.
mageba scope
For this project mageba supplied and installed TENSA-GRIP single gap joints of type WSF100 and TENSA-MODULAR expansion joints of type WSG240-3 in the building objects of the bridge.
The single gap joints of type WSF100 feature a robust, durable single profile with long-proven design. The standard expansion joints of type WSG240-3 have been designed for movements of up to 240 mm.
All types have been locally produced in the certified production facilities in Nové Mesto nad Váhom.
