Characteristics

  • Facilitates movements and closing of structural joint gaps

  • For joint movements of up to 65 mm

  • Quick and easy installation

Principle

TENSA-COMPRESS A movement joint profile is a compression profile that can be used to facilitate movements of up to 65 mm at a maximum gap width of 120 mm. The TENSA-COMPRESS A profile, which is glued into position in a state of pre-compression, allows longitudinal, transverse and vertical movements of the structure. The design of the internal ribbing ensures lasting dimensional stability in all positions. The TENSA-COMPRESS A movement profile offers high resistance to de-icing salt, UV radiation, ozone and mechanical damage.

Applications

TENSA-COMPRESS A movement profile is designed to accommodate movements, and seal trafficable joints and gaps, in bridges, ramps, parking decks, industrial flooring and so on. It can be inserted into recesses cut into concrete slabs, or into steel or epoxy edge constructions. Depending on the design of the edge structures at each side, TENSA-COMPRESS A is suitable for small or large loads, and can be used in curves or in structures with a slope.
