Periferico 428 building
Project description
Periferico 428 is situated in Mexico City, and consists of two apartment towers united by a common level for commercial use and five underground levels for parking with around 72,600 m2 of usable area.
The building will have 700 apartments and has gone through an extensive design process in order to have the most optimized steel structure.
mageba scope
For this project mageba supplied 96 RESTON-SA shock absorbers in total, which from 24 were of type 600-100, another 24 were of type 800-100, and the remaining 46 were of type 1400-100. The absorbers can withstand forces of 600 kN, 800 kN and 1400 kN respectively.
All products have a maximum displacement capacity of +/-50 mm. The shock absorbers’ low alpha value of 0.1 made it possible to optimize structural elements of the main tower and at the same time to have a better control of velocities and loads in the building’s structure.
Following fabrication and testing in Shanghai, they were delivered to site – marked with the CE label, attesting to the quality of their design, fabrication and testing.
