Structural monitoring

Characteristics

  • Long-term data measuring/recording

  • For confidence in condition and understanding of performance

  • With data transmission and analysis

  • Web-based access, alarm function

Principle

mageba ROBO®CONTROL Permanent is a fully automated remote monitoring system for structures. It uses sensibly located sensors to measure temperature, acceleration, vibration, strain, tilt, movements, etc. to determine characteristic parameters such as natural frequency, deformations, forces, loads, slopes, displacements that affect a structure’s condition and performance. The generated data, measured at predefined intervals, is transmitted to a central computer server, where it is processed and made available to authorised users via a secure website or a network.

Applications

A ROBO®CONTROL Permanent structural health monitoring system is perfectly suitable for the mid- and long-term assessment and monitoring of a structure, where data is made available for analysis and graphical presentation – upon request even in real-time.

Structural Health Monitoring (SHM) helps us to better understand our structures in order to prioritize necessary measures on the structures and allocate the necessary resources.

An automated structural health monitoring system can be installed on new bridges, in buildings or generally civil engineering applications as well as for existing infrastructure and building construction with little impact on the structure itself.
