Structural bearings

Characteristics

  • Typical loads: 100 to 2,000 kN

  • Allows rotation about one axis only

  • Particularly strong and compact

  • Low-maintenance

Principle

mageba RESTON-LINEAR bearings can transmit vertical and horizontal forces, and consist of two steel plates, one above the other, with one of them curved to allow tilting. The bearings can be supplied in three varieties: fixed, guided sliding and free sliding.

Applications

RESTON-LINEAR bearings are used where the available space is too limited for pot or spherical bearings (e.g. due to narrow bridge piers) and where rotation is only required about one axis.
