Extensive refurbishment work was carried out in the multi- storey car park in Zurich.
One measure concerned the support of the Hoesch-Additiv ceiling ribs with folding beams. The supports had to be elastic, but and had to have very small tolerances at the same time, in terms of short-term and long-term creep and dimensional accuracy.
In addition, a solution was devised to design a bearing that could also accommodate rotations, despite of the thin elastomeric layer.
Due to the bearing exposure, it was also necessary to carry out the reinforcement of the elastomeric bearing using stainless steel.
A total of 14,170 units of LASTO-BLOCK F were delivered with a special design.
The specially adapted layer thicknesses enabled the required limited vertical deformation and rotational capacity to be accommodated.
The ability to handle stainless steel as well as the many years of experience with the specially used elastomer compound, that made it possible to predict the creep deformation enabled mageba to implement the project.
mageba also managed to meet with the short delivery deadlines.
