The Kuala Lumpur MRT Sungai Buloh-Kajang (SBK) Line is a 51 km long railway that connects Sungai Buloh, north-west of Kuala Lumpur, with Kajang in the south-east, while passing through the densely populated centre of the federal capital.
The line will serve 1.2 million people in the Klang Valley who had poor access to the rail network. It’s expected to carry 442,000 passengers a day.
The Kuala Lumpur MRT is equipped with 358 units of RESTON-POT bearings. 115 of these are RESTON-POT UPLIFT bearings which are designed to resist temporary uplift forces.
The RESTON-POT bearings installed have a maximal load carrying capacity of 23,000 kN.
