Loveresse Workshop

Projektbeschreibung

The Loveresse Workshop is a wooden building designed for the maintenance of the 120 km long road network in the Bernese jurassic part of the Valley of Tavannes.

The structure was built on a concrete foundation and due to its large dimensions, various expansion joints were required.

Numerous structural details such as joints around columns, cross section transitions and angled joints had to be designed. The end parts of the horizontal joints had to be connected to the vertical walls.

Due to the regular and heavy vehicle transport, trafficability and watertightness of the joints were both considered as essential features.
